Incline Dumbbell Fly
The incline dumbbell fly opens and closes the arms over an inclined bench to train the chest while the elbows remain slightly bent.
Execution
-
1
Sit on an incline bench with a dumbbell in each hand, then lie back with your feet planted.
-
2
Hold the dumbbells above your upper chest with palms facing each other and a small bend in the elbows.
-
3
Open your arms out to the sides in a controlled arc until you reach a comfortable chest stretch.
-
4
Bring the dumbbells back together above the chest along the same arc.
Technique
Keep the elbow bend consistent. Avoid lowering farther than your shoulders can comfortably control or turning the fly into a press.
