Execution

  1. 1
    Begin in a standing or seated position with your arms at your sides.

    Focus on moving your shoulder blades without bending your arms.
  3. 3
    Pull your shoulder blades together (retraction) and hold this position briefly.

    Push your shoulder blades apart (protraction) and hold this position briefly as well.
  5. 5
    Repeat this movement for the desired number of repetitions.
