Instructions

  1. Begin by extending your arm in front of you, with your palm facing down.
  2. Rotate your wrist so that your palm is now facing up (supination).
  3. Use your other hand to gently apply pressure to the extended hand until you feel a stretch in your forearm.
  4. Hold this position for a few seconds.
  5. Now rotate your wrist in the opposite direction (pronation), so that your palm faces down, and repeat the stretch.
  6. Switch arms and repeat the exercise.

Targeted Muscles

This exercise targets the muscles in your forearms, including the pronator teres, supinator, and the various flexors and extensors of the wrist and fingers.

Possible Alternatives

  • To increase the intensity, you can hold a light dumbbell during the exercise.
  • For a gentler stretch, try the exercise without using your other hand to apply pressure.
