Benefits

  • Isolates the biceps for more effective muscle development.
  • Improves shoulder stability through the position on the bench.
  • Helps develop balanced muscle growth between both arms.

Common Mistakes

  • ! Performing the movement too quickly, which can lead to less muscle activation and increase the risk of injury.
  • ! Using weights that are too heavy, causing your technique to deteriorate.
  • ! Not using the full range of motion, which reduces the effectiveness of the exercise.

Primary Muscles

The primary focus is on the biceps brachii, with secondary involvement of the brachialis and brachioradialis muscles.

Possible Alternatives

  • Incline Bench Hammer Curls for variation and additional focus on the brachialis and brachioradialis.
  • Concentration Curls for a more isolated biceps workout.
  • Change the angle of the bench to vary the intensity and focus on the biceps.
