Benefits

  • Improves triceps strength and definition.
  • Strengthens the chest and shoulder muscles.
  • Can be performed anywhere without special equipment.

Common Mistakes

  • ! Lowering or rising too quickly: Move in a controlled manner to train the muscles effectively and prevent injuries.
  • ! Allowing the elbows to flare too far outward: Keep your elbows pointing backward to maintain focus on the triceps.
  • ! Lowering too deeply: This can place unnecessary stress on the shoulders. Lower until your upper arms are parallel to the floor.

Targeted Muscles

This exercise primarily targets the triceps, while also training the chest and deltoids.

Possible Alternatives

  • To increase the intensity, place your feet on an elevated surface.
  • For a lighter variation, bend your knees and keep your feet on the floor closer to your body.
