Cable Rear Drive
This cable rear drive moves one arm outward from a bent position across the chest, using a cable around shoulder height to challenge the shoulder and upper back.
Execution
-
1
Set a cable handle around shoulder height and stand side-on, holding it in the hand farther from the pulley.
-
2
Start with the working elbow bent and raised, with the hand near the opposite shoulder.
-
3
Move the arm outward to your side as you straighten the elbow, keeping your torso facing forwards.
-
4
Return slowly across the chest, then repeat and change sides.
Technique
Use light resistance and keep the shoulder down. Control the return instead of letting the cable pull your arm abruptly across the body.
