Begin with the barbell on the floor, just in front of your feet. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart.

Bend your knees slightly and grip the barbell with an overhand grip, slightly wider than shoulder-width.

Take a deep breath and pull the barbell upward by extending your hips and knees. Keep your back straight and your chest facing forward.

Once the barbell reaches the height of your thighs, pull it explosively upward with a quick arm-pull while diving under the barbell and rotating your elbows forward to catch the barbell on your shoulders.

Stabilize yourself in the squat position, then exhale and press the barbell overhead by fully extending your arms.

Lower the barbell in a controlled manner back to your shoulders and then to the floor to complete one repetition.
