Common Mistakes

  • ! Moving the weights up and down too quickly: use a controlled movement.
  • ! Using weights that are too heavy: start light to master the technique.
  • ! Not keeping your back straight: keep your back straight throughout the entire exercise to prevent injuries.

Main Muscles

The Arnold Press primarily trains the deltoids (shoulders), while the trapezius (neck muscles) and triceps are also engaged.

Possible Alternatives

  • If the Arnold Press is too challenging, start with a regular shoulder press.
  • To increase the intensity, you can perform the exercise standing to require more core stabilization.
