Dumbbell Goblet Squat

The dumbbell goblet squat is an excellent exercise for strengthening your lower body. What makes this variation unique is that it trains not only your legs and glutes, but also improves your core stability and balance.

Execution

  1. 1
    Start by standing with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold a dumbbell vertically in front of your chest, gripping one end of the dumbbell with both hands.

    Inhale and slowly lower yourself by bending your hips and knees as if you were going to sit down, while keeping your chest lifted and your back straight.

    Make sure your knees stay aligned with your feet and do not collapse inward or fall outward.

    Lower until your thighs are parallel to the floor, or as low as is comfortable for you.

    Exhale and push yourself back up to the starting position by pressing your heels into the floor.

Common Mistakes
