The Cable Overhead Curl is an effective exercise for strengthening and toning your biceps and forearms. By using a cable machine, this exercise provides constant resistance, resulting in a more intense workout compared with traditional dumbbell curls.

Execution

  1. 1
    Set the cable machine to its lowest position and attach a straight bar or rope to the cable.

    Stand with your back to the machine, grasp the bar or rope with both hands, and hold your arms fully extended above your head.

    Brace your abdominal muscles and keep your elbows close to your head throughout the exercise.

    Bend your elbows and pull the bar or rope downward toward your shoulders while contracting your biceps.

    Slowly and under control, return the bar or rope to the starting position.
