Execution

  1. 1
    Sit on a bench with your back straight and grasp the barbell with both hands. The grip width should be approximately shoulder-width.

    Lift the barbell overhead until your arms are fully extended. This is your starting position.

    Slowly lower the barbell behind your head by bending your elbows. Keep your upper arms as still as possible.

    Push the barbell back to the starting position by contracting your triceps.

    Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
