Execution

  1. 1
    Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and grasp the barbell with an overhand grip slightly narrower than shoulder-width apart.

    Keep your back straight and your knees slightly bent.

    Lift the barbell toward your chin by moving your elbows up and out. Make sure your elbows are always higher than your forearms.

    Slowly and under control, lower the barbell back to the starting position.
