Kneeling Squat Jumps Bodyweight

Execution

  1. 1
Begin on your knees with your feet behind you and your buttocks resting on your heels. Keep your back straight and your hands extended in front of you.
  2. 2
Lean slightly forward and use the strength of your legs to jump explosively upward. As you jump, bring your feet underneath your body and land in a squat position.
  3. 3
Make sure you land in the squat position with your knees behind your toes and your weight on your heels.
  4. 4
From the squat position, push yourself back up to a standing position.
  5. 5
Then lower yourself back onto your knees to repeat the exercise.

Benefits

Kneeling Squat Jumps help build explosive strength, improve jumping power, and raise your heart rate, which contributes to fat burning. They also improve hip flexibility and mobility.

Common Mistakes

  • ! Jumping too quickly: Focus on the quality of the movement rather than the speed. A controlled jump provides a more effective workout.
  • ! Incorrect landing: Make sure you land softly in the squat position to prevent injuries.
  • ! Not fully extending: Make sure you fully extend with each jump to get the most out of the exercise.

Primary Muscles

This exercise primarily targets the quadriceps and gluteal muscles, but the hamstrings, calves, and core are also trained for stability and strength.

Possible Alternatives

If you want to adjust the intensity, you can consider doing squat jumps without the kneeling position for a less intense variation. For a more challenging variation, you can add weights or use a resistance band during the jumps.
