The Bodyweight Squat to Side Leg Lift is a dynamic exercise that improves the strength and flexibility of your lower body. This exercise combines a traditional squat with a side leg lift, making it an excellent choice for strengthening your legs and glutes while also working on your balance and coordination.

Execution

  1. 1
    Begin standing with your feet shoulder-width apart.

    Slowly bend your knees and hips to reach a squat position, keeping your back straight and chest up.

    Once you reach the lowest position of the squat, push yourself back up to a standing position.

    As you reach the standing position, lift one leg out to the side without rotating your hips. Keep your leg straight and your foot flexed.

    Slowly lower your leg and repeat the squat, this time with a leg lift on the other side.

    Alternate between both legs for the desired number of repetitions.
