  4. 4
Hold this position briefly, then slowly roll the ball back to the starting position.
  5. 5
Repeat the movement for the desired number of repetitions.

Benefits

  • Improves whole-body stability and balance.
  • Strengthens the hamstrings and glutes.
  • Helps prevent injuries by promoting a strong and flexible lower back.
  • Increases core strength and improves performance in other exercises and sports.

Common Mistakes

  • ! Not fully extending the legs in the starting position, which reduces the effectiveness of the exercise.
  • ! Performing the movement too quickly, causing you to lose control and increasing the risk of injury.
  • ! Allowing the hips to drop during the exercise, which reduces tension on the hamstrings and glutes.

Primary Muscles

This exercise primarily targets the hamstrings, but also trains the glutes, lower back, and core for improved overall stability.

Possible Alternatives

  • To increase the intensity, try using one leg at a time.
  • If you do not have access to a stability ball, you can perform a similar movement with a towel on a smooth floor.
  • For beginners, starting with bridge exercises without a ball can help build strength before progressing to the stability ball leg curl.
