Execution

  1. 1
    Begin in a standing position with your feet hip-width apart.

    Shift your weight onto your right foot and lift your left leg slightly off the floor.

    Inhale and bend at your hips as you lower your upper body forward and extend your left leg backward. Keep your back straight and your right knee slightly bent.

    Extend your arms straight in front of you for balance or hold a weight in your hands for added resistance.

    Continue until your upper body and left leg are parallel to the floor. Hold this position briefly.

    Exhale and slowly return to the starting position.

    Repeat the movement for the desired number of repetitions, then switch legs.
