Common Mistakes

  • ! Moving up and down too quickly: Use a controlled movement to maximize muscle activation.
  • ! Not lifting the hips fully: Ensure that your body forms a straight line from your shoulders to your knees at the highest point.
  • ! Allowing the knees to fall too far outward: Keep your knees parallel to each other to target the correct muscles.

Primary Muscles

This exercise primarily targets the gluteus maximus, but also engages the hamstrings and core, including the abdominal muscles and lower back, for stability.

Possible Alternatives

  • Single-Leg Feet Elevated Glute Bridge: Lift one leg while performing the bridge for an additional challenge.
  • Glute Bridge with Resistance Band: Place a resistance band around your thighs just above your knees for additional resistance.
  • Traditional Glute Bridge: Perform the exercise without elevating your feet if the elevated version is too challenging.
