Benefits

  • Raises your heart rate, which helps burn calories.
  • Trains multiple muscle groups simultaneously, resulting in an efficient workout.
  • Improves coordination and balance through the dynamic movement.

Common Mistakes

  • ! Not squatting down fully: make sure to perform a full squat movement for maximum effectiveness.
  • ! Giving up too quickly: it is an intense exercise, so try to persevere and build up gradually.
  • ! Uncontrolled movements: make sure to perform the movement with control to prevent injuries.

Primary Muscles

The Body Throw primarily targets the quadriceps, hamstrings, glutes, lower back, and core. The shoulders and arms are also trained lightly through the swinging motion.

Possible Alternatives

  • To increase the intensity, you can use a light dumbbell or medicine ball during the exercise.
  • For lower intensity, you can perform the movement more slowly or avoid squatting as deeply.
  • Alternatively, you can also perform a kettlebell swing for a similar training stimulus.
