  • Body-Up

Execution:

  1. 1
Begin in a standard push-up position with your hands shoulder-width apart.
  2. 2
Push yourself up as in a push-up, while simultaneously lifting one knee toward the elbow on the same side.
  3. 3
Return to the starting position and repeat the movement with the other knee.
  4. 4
Keep your back straight and your abdominal muscles engaged throughout the entire exercise.
  5. 5
Perform 3 sets of 10 repetitions, or as many as you can while maintaining good form.

Benefits:

This exercise not only improves your muscular strength but also your stability and coordination. It is an excellent way to burn calories and increase your overall fitness level.

Common Mistakes:

  • ! Failing to engage the abdominal muscles, which can lead to an arched lower back.
  • ! Moving through the exercises too quickly, reducing the effectiveness of the exercise.
  • ! Allowing the elbows to flare out too far during the push-up.

Primary Muscles:

The Body-Up primarily trains the chest muscles, triceps, deltoid muscles, and core muscles, including the abdominal muscles and lower back.

Possible Alternatives:

To adjust the intensity, you can perform the Body-Up with your knees on the floor for an easier variation or elevate your feet on a raised surface for a more challenging variation. Another option is to wear a weighted vest for additional resistance.
