  2. 2

  6. 6
Slowly lower the band back to the starting position of the shoulder press, then return to the starting position of the biceps curl.

Benefits

Combining a biceps curl and shoulder press in one movement increases training efficiency by working multiple muscle groups simultaneously. Using a resistance band helps develop muscular endurance and strength through constant tension. In addition, this exercise improves coordination and stability by requiring you to control the band throughout the entire movement.

Common Mistakes

  • ! Moving too quickly: Focus on a controlled movement to train the muscles effectively and prevent injuries.
  • ! Using a band that is too heavy: Start with lighter resistance to ensure proper form before progressing to heavier bands.
  • ! Letting the elbows drop: Keep your elbows close to your body during the biceps curl and directly beneath your shoulders during the shoulder press.

Primary Muscles

This exercise primarily targets the biceps brachii and deltoids. The triceps, trapezius, and core muscles are also engaged lightly for stability.

Possible Alternatives

To adjust the intensity, you can vary the thickness of the resistance band. A thicker band provides more resistance, while a thinner band makes the exercise easier. For an additional challenge, you can also remove one foot from the band to increase the stability requirement or vary the speed of execution.
