No-show
Calculate what missed appointments cost you in a year. You fill in three things: the number of appointments per week, your no-show percentage and the value of one appointment in euros. The result is the yearly loss.
Appointments per week. The number of appointments you schedule in an ordinary week. That can be a coach who books them personally, or a studio with a schedule. Fill in the number that fits your week, not the number of a peak week.
No-show percentage. The share of those appointments where the client does not show up. Fill in your percentage.
Appointment value in euros. What one appointment is worth to you. The coach or the studio fills in that amount.
First multiply the appointments per week by 52. Those are the appointments in a year according to this formula.
Then divide the no-show percentage by 100. That is the share of appointments that fall through.
Multiply the yearly number of appointments by that share and by the appointment value. What comes out is the yearly loss.
The result is the yearly loss in euros.
A coach or studio makes the sum, a client does not.
The number is not a score. It does not compare you with another coach or studio. Nothing is added on top of the three fields.
If you change one field, the loss changes. More appointments per week, a higher no-show percentage or a higher appointment value give a higher yearly loss.
