  4. 4
Slowly press yourself back up to the starting position.
  5. 5
Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

Benefits

  • Improves the strength and endurance of the leg muscles.
  • Increases core stability and balance.
  • May help reduce the risk of injuries by strengthening the muscles around the knees and ankles.
  • No additional equipment is needed, so it can be performed anywhere.

Common Mistakes

  • ! Not squatting low enough: Try to get your thighs parallel to the floor for maximum effectiveness.
  • ! Not keeping your back against the wall: This can lead to incorrect posture and a less effective workout.
  • ! Standing up too quickly: Performing the movement slowly increases the intensity and effectiveness of the exercise.

Main Muscles

This exercise primarily targets the quadriceps (front of the thighs), but the hamstrings (back of the thighs), glutes, and calves are also trained. It is also a good exercise for core stability.

Possible Alternatives

  • Wall Squat without a pause: For beginners or as a warm-up.
  • Wall Squat with a ball between your back and the wall: For additional stability and a different variation.
  • Wall Squat with weights: For increased intensity, hold dumbbells in both hands.
