  4. 4
Press yourself back up to the starting position by driving your heels into the floor.
  5. 5
Repeat the movement for the desired number of repetitions.

Benefits

  • Improves lower-body strength and stability.
  • Increases core strength and balance.
  • May help improve posture.
  • Versatility through resistance adjustment.

Common Mistakes

  • ! Leaning too far forward, which can place pressure on the knees.
  • ! Allowing the knees to collapse too far inward or outward during the exercise.
  • ! Not lowering far enough, which reduces the effectiveness of the exercise.

Primary Muscles

This exercise primarily targets the quadriceps and gluteal muscles. The hamstrings, calves, and core muscles are also trained for stability.

Possible Alternatives

  • For a lighter variation, perform the exercise without a cable machine, using only body weight.
  • To increase the intensity, set a heavier resistance or add a squat jump at the end of the movement.
  • Alternatively, you can use a resistance band instead of a cable machine.
