Execution

  1. 1
Set your feet shoulder-width apart and hold the kettlebell with both hands in front of you.
  2. 2
Bend your knees slightly and push your hips back while swinging the kettlebell between your legs.
  3. 3
Explosively extend your hips and knees to swing the kettlebell up and forward to shoulder height. Make sure you swing with your hips rather than pulling with your arms.
  4. 4
Allow the kettlebell to swing back between your legs in a controlled manner while pushing your hips back again.
  5. 5
Repeat this movement for the desired number of repetitions.

Benefits

  • Strengthens your core, which may lead to better posture and fewer back complaints.

Common Mistakes

  • ! Using your arms to lift the kettlebell instead of using your hips to create the swing.
  • ! Bending too deeply during the swing, which places unnecessary stress on your lower back.
  • ! Failing to keep your back straight, which can lead to injuries.
