  • Is an effective exercise for shaping the glutes.

Common Mistakes

  • ! Lifting the hips too high or too low, which can lead to less effective training or even injuries.

  • ! Forgetting to engage the core, which is essential for good form and preventing back pain.

Primary Muscles

This exercise primarily targets the gluteus maximus (the largest glute muscle) and the hamstrings. The core and lower back are also trained lightly to provide stability during execution.

Possible Alternatives

  • For beginners: Start with both feet on the floor to master the basic movement.
  • For more challenge: Add weights to your hips or use a resistance band around your thighs.
  • Other variations: Try the exercise with your foot on an elevated surface such as an exercise ball for additional instability and intensity.
