Cable Wrist Curl

The Cable Wrist Curl is an excellent exercise for strengthening and developing the forearms. This exercise specifically targets the wrist flexors, which is unique compared with many other forearm exercises that often place more emphasis on the entire arm.

Execution

  1. 1
    Set the cable machine to the lowest position and attach a small bar or rope to the cable.

    Stand facing the machine, grasp the bar or rope with an underhand grip, and step slightly backward.

    Lean slightly forward and place your forearms on your thighs, with your wrists just outside your knees.

    Make sure your elbows are bent and your forearms remain stable throughout the entire exercise.

    Inhale and slowly bend your wrists downward so that your hands point toward the floor.

    Exhale and curl your wrists upward by pulling the cable toward you; hold this position briefly.

    Slowly let the cable return to the starting position.
