Doutzen Kroes resides most of the time in her apartment in New York. After graduating from high school, Doutzen sent a few vacation photos to the modeling agency Paparazzi in Amsterdam. She wanted to earn some extra money. The result exceeded her expectations because within two years, she rose to the top of the modeling world.
Doutzen walks the runway for Versace, Dolce and Gabbana, and Gucci, and she is the new face of Calvin Klein’s perfume line. In 2006, she signed a contract with the cosmetics company L’Oréal. As the face of L’Oréal, she became the highest-paid model that the Netherlands has produced to date. In November 2007, it was announced that she would become the new face for lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret.
In November 2007, it was announced that Doutzen would pose in two photos for the exclusive 2008 Pirelli calendar.
On December 15, 2007, Kroes received the Friese Persprijs (Frisian Press Prize) from the Association of Frisian Journalists. According to the jury, she exemplifies one of the most important criteria for awarding the prize’, as the VFJ writes on its website. “She has neither sought nor shunned publicity in the Frisian media.”
In early February 2008, there were rumors that Doutzen was having a relationship with actor Johnny de Mol Jr. However, this turned out to be untrue. Doutzen has been single again since August 2009 after months of dating Greg Andrews.
In November 2010, the model tied the knot with DJ Sunnery James. On January 21, their first son was born: Phyllon Gorré.
