Dumbbell Side Bend
The Dumbbell Side Bend is an effective exercise for strengthening your core, with a focus on the oblique muscles. This exercise not only helps shape a toned waist, but also improves your posture and stability.
Execution
-
1
Stand upright with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold a dumbbell in your right hand with your arm at your side.
-
2
Place your left hand on your hip or behind your head for extra balance.
-
3
Inhale and slowly bend to the right, as far as comfortable, while allowing the dumbbell to slide along your thigh.
-
4
Exhale and return to the starting position by using your oblique muscles.
-
5
Repeat the movement for the desired number of repetitions, then switch sides.
