  • Leg Circles

Introduction:
Leg Circles are an effective exercise for strengthening your core and improving the flexibility and mobility of your hips. This exercise targets not only your abdominal muscles but also the small stabilizing muscles around your hips.

Execution:
1. Lie on your back with your arms alongside your body and your palms facing down.
2. Raise one leg and extend it toward the ceiling. Keep your other leg flat on the floor or slightly bent if that is more comfortable.
3. Begin making small circles in the air with your raised leg. Make sure the movement comes from your hip, not your knee.
4. Make the circles in one direction for 10 to 20 seconds, then switch directions.
5. Repeat the exercise with your other leg.

Key Muscles:
The primary muscle groups trained with Leg Circles are your abdominal muscles, hip flexors, inner and outer thighs, and the muscles around your hip joint.

Benefits:
Leg Circles help build a strong core, which is essential for good posture and preventing back pain. They also improve the stability and coordination of your lower body.

Common Mistakes:
- Moving too quickly: Focus on controlled movements to activate the correct muscles.
- Making circles that are too large: Start with small circles to stabilize your core and prevent your lower back from compensating.
- Lifting your lower back: Keep your lower back pressed against the floor throughout the exercise.

Possible Alternatives:
If you want to increase the intensity, you can add ankle weights or make the circles larger. For a less intense variation, make the circles smaller or let your bent leg rest on the floor.
