Benefits

In addition to strengthening multiple muscle groups, the Knee Lift + Overhead Pull helps improve your posture and stability. It is also an excellent exercise for raising your heart rate, which contributes to fat burning.

Common Mistakes

  • ! Too much speed: Focus on the quality of the movement rather than the speed. This ensures maximum muscle activation.
  • ! Using weights that are too heavy: Start with lighter weights to ensure proper form and prevent injuries.
  • ! Not fully extending: Make sure your arms are fully extended with each overhead pull for a full range of motion.

Main Muscles

This exercise targets the abdominal muscles, the muscles in your upper legs, and the deltoid muscles in your shoulders. In addition, your back muscles and biceps are also trained by the overhead pull.

Possible Alternatives

If you want to adjust the intensity of the exercise, you can consider the following variations:

  • For a lighter variation, perform the overhead pull without weights or a resistance band.
  • To make the exercise more challenging, increase the weight of the dumbbell or the resistance of the band.
  • Add a twist to the knee lift to train the obliques more.
