Execution
-
1
Lie on your back on a mat, with your hands by your sides or under your glutes for extra support.
-
2
Lift both legs so they are perpendicular to the floor.
-
3
Inhale and slowly lower one leg toward the floor without letting it rest.
-
4
Exhale and return your leg to the starting position.

Repeat the movement with the other leg.
-
6
Keep your back pressed flat against the mat throughout the exercise.

- ! Keeping the other leg too high, which reduces core engagement.
Primary Muscles
This exercise primarily targets the lower abdominals and hip flexors. It also engages the deep core muscles and the stabilizers around your pelvis and lower back.
Possible Alternatives
- To increase the intensity, you can add ankle weights.
- For a less intense variation, you can slightly bend your knees during the exercise.
- Alternatively, you can try Double-Leg Drops, in which you lower and lift both legs at the same time.
