  • Landmine Punch
  • Landmine Punch

Introduction: The Landmine Punch is a dynamic exercise that combines strength and explosiveness. It is an excellent way to train your upper body and core while also working on your coordination and balance.

Execution:

  1. Place one end of a barbell in a landmine or secure corner.
  2. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and grip the other end of the barbell with one hand.
  3. Keep your arm almost straight and push the barbell away from you as if throwing a punch.
  4. Allow the barbell to return to the starting position under control.
  5. Repeat the movement for the desired number of repetitions, then switch arms.

Target Muscles: This exercise primarily targets the chest muscles, shoulders, triceps, and core muscles.

Benefits: The Landmine Punch helps improve explosive upper-body strength, which is useful for various sports. It also stabilizes your core and improves your overall balance and coordination.

Common Mistakes:

  • Returning to the starting position too quickly, which can lead to a loss of control.
  • Not fully extending the arm during the punching movement.
  • Using too much weight, causing your technique to deteriorate.

Possible Alternatives: To increase the intensity, you can add more weight or increase the speed of execution. For a lighter variation, perform the movement more slowly and with less weight.
