  6. 6
Repeat the stretch a few times, depending on your needs.

Benefits

The Abdominal Stretch offers several benefits. It helps reduce the risk of muscle cramps, improves the flexibility of the abdominal muscles, and supports better posture. It can also improve blood circulation in the trained areas, contributing to faster recovery after a workout.

Common Mistakes

  • ! Entering the stretch too quickly - Take your time to slowly move into the stretch and avoid sudden movements.
  • ! Stretching too far - Listen to your body and do not force the stretch beyond your comfort zone.
  • ! Forgetting to breathe - Make sure you continue breathing during the stretch to achieve maximum benefits.

Primary Muscles

This exercise primarily targets the rectus abdominis and the obliques. The muscles of the lower back are also lightly stretched, which contributes to better posture and less back pain.

Possible Alternatives

If you want to adjust the intensity of the Abdominal Stretch, you can try keeping your elbows on the floor instead of fully extending your arms. This reduces the intensity of the stretch. For a more intense stretch, you can try lifting your hips slightly off the floor while holding the stretch.
