Side-to-Side Rotation

The Side-to-Side Rotation is a dynamic exercise that focuses on strengthening and toning your core while also improving your balance and coordination. This exercise is unique because it trains not only the rectus abdominis but also the obliques and deeper core muscles.

Execution

  1. 1
    Begin in a standing position with your feet shoulder-width apart.

    Hold a weight or medicine ball in front of your chest with both hands.

    Keep your hips facing forward, rotate your upper body to the right, and lower the weight toward the side of your hip.

    Rotate back to the center and repeat the movement to the left side.
  5. 5
    Make sure the movement comes from your waist and keep your hips stable.
  6. 6
    Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
