  4. 4

  5. 5
Perform the movement for 30 seconds to 1 minute, depending on your fitness level.

Benefits:

This exercise helps strengthen your core, which is essential for good posture and preventing back pain. It also improves lower-body muscular endurance and may contribute to a more toned abdomen.

Common Mistakes:

  • ! Lifting your back off the floor: Make sure your back remains pressed flat against the floor at all times to prevent unnecessary strain.
  • ! Moving too quickly: Although pace is important, it is crucial to perform the movement in a controlled manner for maximum effectiveness.
  • ! Lifting your legs too high: Lifting your legs too high reduces the intensity on your core. Try to keep your legs low.

Primary Muscles:

Couch Flutter Kicks primarily target the rectus abdominis (the abdominal muscles) and the hip flexors. The obliques (side abdominal muscles) and quadriceps are also trained secondarily.

Possible alternatives:

  • For lower intensity, you can do one leg at a time and alternate.
  • To increase the intensity, you can add ankle weights or extend the duration of the exercise.
