Someone who understands you, lends a sympathetic ear, knows what you need, pats you on the back, compliments you, and occasionally gives you a kick in the butt. This is exactly what a personal trainer can do for you.

Most personal trainers can also greatly assist you in creating a dietary plan. ‘What exactly should I eat and what should I eat less of.’

Maybe you’re thinking like many others: ‘I can never afford a personal trainer, that’s way too expensive.’

That was indeed the case.

Nowadays, many people have experienced personal training or coaching. Hourly rates vary between €15 and €100. Price differences have multiple causes. For instance, novice personal trainers, freelancers, or personal trainers on payroll often have lower rates than highly experienced personal trainers. A personal trainer with a lot of knowledge, skill, and experience will charge higher prices. But achieving results and reaching your goals, becoming a happier person, is worth something to you, isn’t it?

Disadvantages of personal training

In my opinion, the only disadvantage is that anyone can call themselves a personal trainer. The quality and reliability of a personal trainer are not always clear beforehand. Find a personal trainer who suits you by requesting references, among other things. If strength, muscle mass, and endurance are your goals, don’t stick with a personal trainer who puts you on a Bosu ball because supposedly you need to work on your core stability first. Use your common sense and rely on your intuition. There are very good personal trainers, but there are also charlatans.

The costs are often seen as a disadvantage. When results are achieved, it is priceless. Think of diabetic patients who can lower their medication and even stop it. Think of people with obesity who are limited in various ways by their condition. Discrimination in job applications, cardiovascular diseases, shortness of breath, etc.

Think of meeting the strict physical admission requirements for the police, navy, etc.
Fashion models who are just not slim enough to break through internationally. How do I achieve a healthy hip circumference of 92 cm?

You must realize that a Personal Trainer is a specialist in their field. An expert. If your car breaks down, you go to the garage; if you want to do something about your hair, you go to the hairdresser. To paint your house, seek legal advice, etc., you go to the respective specialists.

So if you want to improve your figure or your health, get fit or fitter, or change your lifestyle, opt for personal training.
